It feels like Tuesday. So far, so good with the goals. I’ve fallen off here and there on the soda goal, but all in all I’ve been doing really well. So, yay on that. I haven’t lost much weight, but I have been eating much better. It’s really a daily/weekly conscious effort. Nate and I have been talking a lot about buying a piece of exercise equipment for the house. I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to get a work out in…even if I’m working from home…with an 8-month-old baby. I think it’s a combination of having to keep the house picked up, the bottles washed, the laundry done, the dinner made, Fynn entertained, and working my part-time job. By the time Nate gets home I have no desire to go downstairs or to the gym. I know that when summer gets here, I am able to go to outside to walk with Fynn, but that doesn’t help Nate. If he goes to the gym after dinner…he’ll never see Fynn who goes to sleep around 7:30 PM. It’s such a pain to figure out.
My reading goal is really slipping. Must turn off the television, must turn off the television. It’s just so convenient.
You can BOTH go out walking after dinner with Fynn. Of course, that doesn’t help either of you until summer. And if your house is anything like mine, 7:30 rushes up pretty quickly every night! I am lucky in that I can get my workouts done over my lunch-hour at work because they offer fitness classes on-site. If it wasn’t for that, I don’t know when on earth I would do anything fitness related.
Nate has no problem walking with us. We normally do that in the summer. But, a 6’1 guy walking at my brisk pace is not a workout. With his long legs, he’s just strolling. So, it doesn’t help with the getting in shape part, but it’s a good opportunity for us all to be together. That is really cool that your work offers fitness on site. I’m not too worried about getting exercise in the summer, but summers are just too darn short here in Wisconsin.
