Riiiiiight. Day 6 has arrived and it has not gone well. I knew I was in trouble this morning when the coffee didn’t taste quite right. Luckily I was able to choke down a few gulps before I couldn’t take it anymore. I found a non-expired yogurt in the fridge for breakfast. Then, of course, there was a really good Clean House show on Style and Fynn was just too cuddly and fun to play with so work didn’t get accomplished in the morning. So, one thing led to another and I didn’t get my abs workout done. Basically I showered this morning and that was about it.
Then at lunch, I thought I had a good idea and I would eat good old Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch. That seemed like a good idea, soup and a half a glass of milk. I think that is where I went wrong because at about 3:00 PM I was STARVING and I was having the worst sugar let down. By 4:00 PM I was eating sugar packets and cookie toppings from Christmas. I’m not ashamed to say my addiction to sugar has come to that. I finally ate a buttered bagel. It was yummy.
At this point I realized that I had completely failed. So then we had cheeseburgers for dinner with Ruffles and a regular Red Bull. One good thing, it’s 10:50 PM and I’m not hungry and I’m doing the smartest thing I’ve done today. I’m drinking water.
Luckily, tomorrow is a new day and it’s a long year. And I had a great time playing with my sweet little baby today. That’s what counts. Sometimes you need a cuddle and snuggle day. Today was it. I’ll pick it up again tomorrow.
